Surround yourself with other supportive women who also want to take their skills on two wheels to the next level. This days clinic topic is customized to the attendees and will focus on skill development and practice for specific application on the trails. Topics will be based on attendees preferences but could focus on foundational skills such as stance\, bike body separation\, bike mechanics and balance\, or more intermediate and advanced technique and tactics\, using the same fundamentals for corners\, rollovers\, drops or maybe even jumps. Line choice and tactics for technical downhills or advanced climbs are also options depending on the needs of the group. Attendees should expect to practice both on and off trail for this clinic. This event is available for women of all skill levels and will be catered to varying abilities if needed as the focus will be mastery of the skills for the students desired application.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Women on Wheels Fundamentals: Adults 18+ \nREGISTER HERE\nAM sessions are 9 AM – 12 PM \nSaturday\, September 13th @ Sierra Vista Park \nDuring this one day mountain bike program\, women will learn\, practice and be introduced to the skills and positions that will make them a better more confident rider. Attendees will learn from an all-female BICP-certified bike staff\, while surrounded by other supportive women who also want to improve their skills on two wheels. Learn the fundamentals or improve what you already know on the extensive trail systems in Carson City. Women will learn and practice proper body position\, bike mechanics\, technique & tactics to tear down and across the mountain confidently like the bad boss that you are! Progressions will be introduced to enable female athletes to both learn and practice under the guise of expert female riders. This clinic is available for women of all skill levels and will be catered to varying abilities if needed. This clinic is a one day version of our longer 3 week progressive sessions.

This is a foundational program focusing on fundamental bike and bike body skills and applying them at a beginner to intermediate level on trails and features appropriate for that skill level. 1/2 day clinic over a 3 week period with 9 hours of total instruction.

DESCRIPTION:Skate to Ski: Ages: 18+ \nREGISTER HERE\nAll sessions are four weeks long\, recurring on the same day\, time & at the same location.  \nSESSION 1: Sunday\, September 7th –Western Nevada College  \nSESSION 2: Sunday\, September 14th- –Western Nevada College \nSESSION 3: Sunday\, September 21st- Western Nevada College \nSESSION 4: Sunday\, September 28th- Western Nevada College \nA four-week inline skating program\, exclusive to women\, preparing individuals with exercises and progressions specifically geared to improve their alpine skiing while also improving their skills on skates! The skills required for skating are extremely similar and applicable to alpine skiing. Proficiency in one lends to the other. This program is a transfer learning program geared toward improving ones skating ability to become a better skier as well as give participants a new\, fun way to exercise and express their fitness. Drills and skills will be coached to improve skate techniques that have direct application to snow. Additionally\, students will also learn how to skate to improve their general fitness and aerobic capacity. This Skate to Ski program is supported by Rollerblade and endorsed & taught by their Skate to Ski program and ambassadors.

Improve upon your fundamentals while working on the proper technique and bike/body positions for rollovers\, drops\, jumps and more technically advanced skills and trails. Attendees will also learn to break down the best line choice through rock gardens and technical sections. All drills\, skills and movements practiced in this course will help women who already feel fairly confident on their bike on beginner trails learn to have that same confidence on more intermediate and advanced features trails. Attendees will learn through guided practice and real life application on trails suited for their skill level and their goals. \n
